Anchor Point (K-5th)
A ship anchored on three points is more secure in a storm than a ship secured to only one. That is why our “Anchor Point” messages always reinforce the following characteristics:
Wisdom: I can make the wise choice
Faith: I can trust God no matter what.
Friendship: I should trust others the way I want to be treated.
These key characteristics reflect the way the bible says a young Jesus grew in Luke 2:52 – in wisdom, favor with God (faith) and favor with man (friendship).
Each month, children will find these three truths woven through stories and discussions centered on godly virtues like patience, initiative, faithfulness, respect, and compassion, a total of 36 virtues in all over a 3 year cycle.
Age-appropriate small groups begin each Sunday morning, followed by a common worship and Bible story environment complete with actors and storytellers on the Anchor Point main stage. Then its back to small groups for activities specifically designed to reinforce and apply what was learned in the day’s Bible story.
